| Product Description

- An O-ring fitted to the outer race suppresses creep. Reduces energy loss and absorbs vibration.

Fitting an O-ring to the outer race of the bearing suppresses idle rotation of the outer race (creep), which tends to occur at high rotational speeds.
The O-ring also acts as a cushion between the bearing and the seat, absorbing vibration transmitted from the spool for more stable rotational performance.
The material is zirconia ceramic, which does not rust even when used in saltwater and delivers high corrosion resistance.
Its excellent wear resistance and high hardness also make it suitable for oil-less use.
Furthermore, because zirconia ceramic is non-magnetic, it is less affected by magnetic force even on reels equipped with magnetic brakes, delivering stable performance.

| Precautions
- Strong impacts such as dropping may cause cracking. Please handle with sufficient care.
- Because ceramic is used as the material, a rolling noise (a whirring sound) occurs during rotation.
This is not a defect. Please understand this in advance.
- When using the #10255 Cog Wheel Bearing integrated with the spool shaft on the Ambassadeur 1500C/2500C, please refer to the information below.
Combining the CERA-LOCK Bearing 11x5x4 With the Ambassadeur 1500C/2500C
Because the CERA-LOCK Bearing has an O-ring where the outer race contacts the seat, care may be required during assembly.
- For Ambassadeur 1500C (AMB 1520R, 1540R, 1518TR)
- For Ambassadeur 2500C (AMB 2520R, 2540R, 2560R, 2518TR)
With the spools listed above, when the #10255 Cog Wheel Bearing is used integrated with the spool shaft (* see the explanatory article below), the O-ring creates resistance that makes it difficult for the bearing to seat fully into the brake plate ring.
If used without the bearing fully seated, the spool shaft will press strongly against the inner race, significantly reducing the rotational performance of the bearing.
As a countermeasure, using a Spacer (for the AMB1520/1540 Microcast Brake) in place of the Spool Shaft Spring (for the Ambassadeur 1500C/2500C) allows the bearing to be pushed all the way in.
Remove the E-ring, cog wheel, and bearing in that order, then replace the spool shaft spring with the spacer.

Please confirm that the bearing is seated in the receiving section of the brake plate ring
Switching to the spacer may reduce the mechanical brake adjustment range compared with using the spring.
You can create adjustment range as preferred by filing down the spacer to shorten it.
If there is excessive play, loosen the mechanical brake once and press the spool toward the mechanical brake side to push the bearing further in.

| How to Use the E-Ring for Microcast Spool 1500C/2500C
Integrating the #10255 Cog Wheel with the spool shaft prevents the #10255 Cog Wheel from contacting the cog wheel holder and creating resistance, which can be expected to improve rotation.
Please give it a try.
[Items to Prepare]
- Microcast Spool 1500C/2500C
- E-Ring M2.4
- Spool Shaft Spring (purchase if you do not have the Genuine #10256 Spacing Spring)
- Screwdriver
- Needle-Nose Pliers

| Installation Method

1. Loosen the screws with a screwdriver and remove the palming side cup from the reel body.

2. Remove the #10255 Cog Wheel (image: silver gear) and the #10251 Cog Wheel Holder (image: black resin part) from inside the cup.


3. Next, remove the palming plate and then remove the #10265 Lock Ring securing the bearing.
* Remove the #10265 Lock Ring using tweezers, a flathead screwdriver, or similar.
Please take care not to let it fly off and become lost.


4. Once the necessary parts have been removed, install the #10256 Spacing Spring (or the Avail Spool Shaft Spring) onto the spool shaft.
Without this spring, the bearing will come away from the frame, which may scratch the spool rim or cause damage, so be sure to install it.

5. Install the bearing and the #10255 Cog Wheel.
The notches fit together, and the end face of the gear aligns with the groove in the spool shaft.
6. Install the E-Ring M2.4 included with the Microcast Spool into the groove in the spool shaft.
It is slightly tight, so please install it using needle-nose pliers or similar.
Please note that pressing strongly on the shaft risks bending it.
