This is a Microcast Spool for the ABU Ambassadeur 1500C class.
The AMB1520R with a groove depth of 2.0mm is recommended for mountain stream trout and saltwater light game, while the AMB1540R with a groove depth of 4.0mm is recommended for main river trout and light bass fishing.

Compared with the genuine spool (1500C: approx. 15.8g), both the AMB1520R and AMB1540R achieve a weight reduction of approx. 10.6g.

For each model, a dedicated magnet brake unit and an original 4-point centrifugal brake are available.
Also, the genuine 2-point brake can be installed on either model.

Measurements were taken using nylon line (VERSATILE DESIGN) from Yamatoyo Teguss Co., Ltd.

The above figures were measured by winding the line up to the C-surface of the spool rim using nylon line.

| How to Use



Prepare the reel.



Remove the handle-side unit and take out the spool. Be careful not to lose the brake blocks (two grain-like parts).



From the removed genuine spool, remove the centrifugal brake parts and the spring attached to the opposite (longer) side of the shaft.



Attach the genuine centrifugal brake. The attachment method is the same for the original 4-point centrifugal brake.



(When using our magnet brake, fit the included resin collar.)



On the longer side of the shaft, attach the coil spring for positioning.
(If the mechanical brake is adjusted correctly, this spring may not be necessary. Also, not attaching it seems to reduce the resistance acting on the spool.)
For specifications like the 2600C Elite, where a bearing and cog wheel are attached to the shaft side, always attach the coil spring when using.
Without the spring, the bearing will come off the frame and cannot be used properly.



Attach the centrifugal brake or magnet brake, and the assembly is complete.
After that, please readjust the mechanical brake.
(Because the shaft length, etc., may differ slightly from the genuine product.)

If you use the spool rim for thumbing, the anodizing may peel off due to friction. Please perform thumbing on the line-winding surface of the spool.
