Reel: ABU Ambassadeur 5000/5000D (820600)

This Microcast Spool is designed for ABU Ambassadeur 5000 reels that have been converted from bronze bushings to ball bearings.
Compared to the Genuine spool (5000 (4-Screw): approx. 24.9 g), the AMB5050R-BB is approximately 10.0 g lighter. In addition, reducing the line capacity significantly decreases the total spool weight.
This greatly improves the minimum castable lure weight and increases casting distance with lures of the same weight.

| About Compatibility

This Microcast Spool is designed for Ambassadeur 5000/5000D reels that have been converted from bronze bushings to ball bearings.
*Two separate 10 x 3 x 4 ball bearings are required for the conversion.

When using the line alarm function on the 5000D, please also purchase the separately sold Line Alarm Gear Collar.

Although they share the same Ambassadeur 5000 name, this spool is not compatible with Palming Models or ULTRACAST Models.
ULTRACAST Models, in which the spool shaft is removable from the spool, are not compatible.

This spool is compatible with reels that have the spool shaft shape shown in the photo below.
The cog wheel has been removed from the right side.
Remove the cog wheel and check the shape of the hidden portion before installation.




| Installation Method When Using the Line Alarm Function



When using the line alarm function, install the separately sold Line Alarm Gear Collar behind the white clicker.

When not using the line alarm function, install the parts as shown in the illustration above.
The white clicker and the Line Alarm Gear Collar are not required.

*If you apply thumb pressure to the spool rim, the anodized finish may wear off due to friction.
*Please apply thumb pressure only to the line-winding surface of the spool.
