A Closed-Face Reel Built for Modern Lure Fishing

An under-spin reel that can be used with standard spinning rods. With a maximum line retrieve of over 80cm per handle turn, it delivers comfortable performance across a wide variety of fishing scenes, including trout fishing, bass fishing, and saltwater lure fishing such as seabass.

Despite its traditional design, it features a hybrid mechanism that merges modern design philosophy with classic engineering principles. Packed with sufficient performance for the diverse evolution of today's fishing scenes, it also accommodates the latest tackle setups such as PE line.

A New Reel Option Born From Ultra-High Precision Machining

The design was handled by Mr. Shintaro Omori, the current Chief Designer at Isuzu Kogyo, who also created the diamond reel "Mi-CON". Manufacturing is carried out by Isuzu Kogyo, Japan's oldest reel manufacturer, which continues to uphold the traditional reel scene.

Born from ultra-high precision machining technology, the TU-01 breaks the conventional wisdom of spincast reels and holds the potential to become a "new genre" that no one had ever imagined.

A third option - "Underspin" - has emerged alongside the traditional spinning or baitcasting reel choice. And it does so as a brand-new reel that overcomes the "drawbacks" of conventional spincast reels.

In 2026, the TU-01 incorporates a new structure and evolves into a new domain as the "TU-01v+".
