During extremely harsh and frigid conditions, guides can freeze and in some cases, anglers may have to give up fishing altogether.
Furthermore, if it happens during a tournament, expedition, or media coverage, it can be fatal.

In such extreme situations where even basic mistakes are unacceptable, having a reliable tool to reduce guide freezing and deliver results is essential for expert anglers.

Main Features

1. It has a de-icing and re-freezing reduction effect that can respond immediately to frozen guides.

It can be used even in an outdoor temperature of -20 degrees Celsius due to its far-infrared component.
* Effect and durability may vary depending on the environment of use.

2. It supports a wide range of lines, from PE to nylon, fluorocarbon, and polyester.
* Note that it may cause color fading when directly applied to the line.

3. It uses safe, plant-derived ingredients and does not contain antifreeze fluids like radiator liquids that are highly toxic to the human body and ecosystem.

4. Even in the non-freezing season, it maintains the slipperiness of the guides for a long time, improving casting distance and reducing noise and vibration during PE line retrieval.
* Effect and durability may vary depending on the environment of use.

5. Like a guide coat, it comes in a compact size with a built-in nozzle that is convenient for carrying.

Application Method

Please apply directly to the guide with the nozzle or spread onto the guide ring with your finger.

During the non-freezing season, apply thinly as much as possible, and during the freezing season, apply generously.

If you apply too much guide coat, the guide may become sticky and the distance of the cast may decrease.
In that case, wipe it off once and apply it again very thinly.

Please read before use

This is a specialized coating for guides.

If applied directly to the line, it may cause color fading.
If the discolored line comes into contact with clothing, it may cause stains.

Using IOS Four Seasons in conjunction with the coating on the spool and line will be more effective.

Ingredients: water-soluble alcohol, high polymer, antifreeze agent, far-infrared component.

Results of testing from IOS Hokkaido monitor.

This morning in Hokkaido, the temperature was -19 degrees Celsius at 6:00 am, which was perfect for testing Guide Coat Extreme.
I went home and conducted the test!

The test was conducted for an hour from 6:30 am to 7:30 am, and it was enough to test the coating.
The temperature was -18 degrees Celsius at the start of fishing and -15 degrees Celsius at the end.

The results were amazing! Ice hardly formed on the coating.
There was some ice on the top guide, but it came off while the tip was shaking.

With the current coating agent, adhesion was significantly reduced, but occasionally ice would form, but this was not the case with Extreme.

Casting was always good, and the distance was stable.
It was perfect!
The reel was also great, and I cast with a grin on my face the whole time.

This guide coat was extremely effective!

It sounds like the coating just falls off easily! It felt like the ice was just bouncing off the rod as you tapped it lightly with action.

Today, there was a north wind blowing from the left at a speed of 2-3 meters per hour, and at times there were squalls.
The rod and guide area were covered in frost in an instant, but the guide rings did not freeze.

I think Ex is particularly effective in Hokkaido during this season! I want to continue using it and verifying its effectiveness.
