| Multi-Cut Ring (A7075T6 Material)

With the evolution of guide shapes and PE lines, the backlash and air knots that occurred in the early days have been greatly reduced, and the performance required of a spool has shifted from trouble-free operation to casting distance.

Studio Ocean Mark has been developing oval rings aimed at trouble-free performance since 2007.
By changing the generally perfect-circle shape into an oval shape, this spool ring continuously varies the contact resistance of the released line against the ring, creating a slight feathering effect that effectively prevents line trouble.
The new Multi-Cut Ring advances the concept of the oval ring, achieving both trouble prevention and increased casting distance.

During a cast, the line is released after clinging tightly along the spool ring with force.
Thanks to the multi-cut surfaces provided on the lower part of the spool, the contact distance during line release continuously alternates between long and short,
and the resistance created by this difference produces the same feathering effect as the oval ring, preventing line trouble.

As the casting speed of the lure drops, the speed of the line released from the spool surface also drops, the release loop grows larger, and the line only slightly contacts the upper part of the spool.
The taper angle of the spool ring is set close to that of surf reels designed for ultra-long-distance casting, so minimal release resistance delivers extended casting distance in the latter half of the cast.






| New-Shape Radiator Unit

A machine-cut radiator unit is fitted beneath the drag system, and a spool rotating at high speed simultaneously enhances the heat dissipation performance of the radiator unit.
In lab testing under extremely severe conditions, it suppressed the temperature rise by more than 30% and maintained stable drag power.






| 30000 Size

We developed a dedicated spool compatible with the STELLA SW30000, which boasts one of the largest line capacities in the world.
To compensate for the reduction in drag power that is the weak point of large-diameter spools, a drag system is also provided on the spool shaft to support drag power.
Combined with the drag system inside the skirt, a maximum drag force of 22kg is secured by hand tightening.
It is also equipped with the series' latest Multi-Cut Ring / new-shape radiator unit, supporting fierce fights against marlin on spinning tackle and giant tuna.




| 8000 Size

The 19 STELLA SW/8000 was released as a dedicated model sharing the same body while making the rotor size more compact.
The 8000, with its light stop-and-go rotation, has earned a high reputation in the market, and we received many requests to develop a spool for it.

19SW9800HP (HP = High Power Specification)
The spool ring diameter is secured at its maximum, giving a line capacity setting of PE 6-250/5-300m. This is the same line capacity as the SHIMANO 10000 size, so it is also possible to spool 6 and target GT or hiramasa (yellowtail amberjack). Meanwhile, 5 is the best size for coastal yellowfin tuna games and shore-casting for amberjack in the Kanto region.

19SW7900RC (RC = Rocket Cast Specification)
The line-winding diameter for 4-300m is set to the same value as the Genuine spool, while the spool ring diameter is reduced to the smallest possible size. Since the winding diameter is the same, the retrieve per handle turn is unchanged, so it can be used with the same fishing rhythm as the Genuine spool without any sense of difference. The merit of the small-diameter spool ring is that during underhand casts with a jigging rod fitted with small-diameter guides, the line does not strike the butt guide, releasing smoothly and reducing casting trouble.


| Waterproof Performance

A waterproof rubber is fitted to the topmost drag washer.
It effectively blocks saltwater intrusion, the greatest weakness of carbon washers.


| Drag Washer

A USA-made carbon material dedicated to drag washers is used.
A fine plain weave was selected from many grades, delivering smooth initial movement and maximum frictional resistance.


| Pure Teflon Grease

A pure Teflon grease using Teflon oil and Teflon powder additives.
It adopts the highest-level drag grease in the history of fishing tackle, so there is no drag seizure caused by grease loss even when fighting the largest class of fish.

*Spool 13SW30000BM is a dedicated model for the STELLA SW30000 and is not compatible with other sizes.
*Spools 13SW16000/8000 and 19SW10000 can be mounted on the 19 STELLA SW 14000/10000, but cannot be mounted on the 19 STELLA SW 8000.
*Spools 19SW9800/7900 are dedicated models for the 19 STELLA SW 8000 and are not compatible with other sizes.
*The strength design conforms to the PE lines indicated. Please note that using nylon line, PE line with high elongation, or ultra-fine PE line may cause the spool body to deform.
