Description

Avail Original Star Drag for SHIMANO 19SLX.
It can also be installed on the 21SLX and 16 Metanium.
The shape is compatible not only with the stock handle but also with Avail's original offset handle LT, STi, and STi2 sizes.

The arm has been designed to be longer than that of the genuine product, making it easier to wind up dandruff with the middle finger or the like while perming.
Although the weight will increase, the functionality has been improved.
The product is also available in seven different colors, so please enjoy customizing it with your favorite colors and other colored parts.

*About the product
This product is a star drag with a sounding board, sounding board retaining clip, sounding pin, and sounding spring pre-installed.


How to Install

Please refer to the following for installation instructions.



Remove the retainer and handle nut, and remove the handle.
Then remove the drag.



Removed genuine star drag.
The genuine drag has a sounding pin, sounding spring, and star-drag sounding plate, but these are not used this time.





This product is a star drag with a sounding board, sounding board retaining clip, sounding pin, and sounding spring pre-installed.





When installing, adjust the star drag fixing nut and the end face of the handle shaft so that they are parallel as shown in the photo above.
Also, adjust the end faces of the square holes in the star drag so that the holes in the sounding board attached to the star drag are parallel to the end faces of the square holes in the star drag.

Parallel end faces make it easier to install.
If the end faces are firmly aligned, the installation can be done as shown above (above figure).
Note that if the drag is not firmly secured at this point, there may be a gap as shown above (see figure below), or the drag may not work when the handle is attached.



The star drag spring is installed and the star drag assembly and handle are assembled back together to complete the process.
After installation, check for proper function.
Check to see if sound is produced when tightening and loosening the drag, and if the drag strength is adjustable.
In addition, when assembled with parts sold separately, the colors can be unified for customization as shown in the figure above.
