This Microcast Spool fits the Mamiya-era models of the Ambassadeur 5500C.
In addition to the 5500C, it can also be installed on the Ambassadeur 5001C (Naberim).

Please note that even among models with the same name, Ambassadeur 5500C, this spool does not fit the Ebisu-era models, Palming models, Simon Shimomura models, or Ultracast models, so please be careful not to make a mistake.
Also note that for the 5001C, this spool does not fit the Yamarim model released around 1972, the final Naberim model from 1981 produced around the same period, or the Ultracast model 5001C3, etc., so please be careful.



Fits reels with the spool shaft shape shown in the photo.
The right one has the cog wheel removed.
Remove the cog wheel and check the shape of the hidden portion.

A C-ring for fixing the cog wheel is included.


| How to Use

Remove the cog wheel from the genuine spool and transfer it to the Microcast Spool for use.
The cog wheel on this model is fixed by press-fitting.
To prevent damage or scratches to the spool, remove it using the method below.



Prepare a kite string about 1mm in diameter and pass it through the gap in the cog wheel of the genuine spool.



Pull it out once, then pass it through the gap in the cog wheel again.



Tie the passed string into a loop using a blood knot or similar.



Tying it creates two loops, so pass a screwdriver or similar through those two loops.
Doing this with your fingers will dig in and hurt, so please prepare a rod-shaped object.



Pull the cog wheel out of the spool.



It came off successfully. The cog wheel may pop off when removed, so be careful not to lose it.



Attach the removed cog wheel to the Microcast Spool and secure it with the included C-ring.

If you sum using the spool rim, the anodizing may peel off due to friction.
Please perform summing on the line-winding surface of the spool.
