Aluminum Main Gear Bushing
For ABU Ambassadeur 1500C/2500C
| Product Description
Since 2019, the tooth profile has been redesigned and the thickness changed to 1.2mm (previous model: 1.0mm).
The material has been replaced from brass to ultra-duralumin for weight reduction.
For IAR models, unnecessary ratchet parts have been eliminated for further weight savings.
For non-IAR models, the ratchet tooth profile of the one-way mechanism has been modified and the number of teeth increased to reduce play during reverse rotation.
In addition, the clutch return posts have been increased to four, allowing clutch return with a 90-degree handle rotation.
*Includes one Teflon Washer MGB-WASH 0.8mm.
*Not compatible with thumb bar models such as 1600C and 2600C.

| Installation Instructions
The following example uses the Ambassadeur 1500C (Non-IAR) for installation guidance.
Grease application is omitted in the photos for clarity.
The Genuine main gear bushing has a protrusion for crimping the ratchet, but our product does not include this.
The included white washer is used to fill that space.
Remove the side cover and take out the main gear bushing.
You will find Genuine part #5189 (drive shaft shim) inside—place the included white washer on top of it.
Then insert the aluminum main gear bushing and confirm that the clutch disengages properly.
For non-IAR models, slightly open the anti-reverse dog (about 0.1mm). Opening too far will cause reverse rotation.
Ensure the anti-reverse dog functions properly before reassembly.
After confirmation, reassemble the drag washer, main gear, and other components.
Do not forget to apply oil and grease.
