Item Description

Introducing “Reel Anode” - A New Item to Protect Your Reel From Corrosion
“Anode (sacrificial zinc)” is a corrosion prevention technology used on boats, outboard motors, car fenders, bolt joints, and more.
We are releasing the “Reel Anode,” a sticker-type anode cut to reel foot size, designed to bring this “Anode” technology to fishing tackle.
This is a localized corrosion prevention item based on the “sacrificial anode” principle - corroding in place of the reel foot or screws to protect important metal parts - combined with the “coating protection effect” inherent to zinc foil.
Protect your beloved reel from corrosion with the “Reel Anode”!

| With vs. Without Anode
Two aluminum reel frames (chrome-plated, manufactured by Isuzu Kogyo) that had already begun to corrode were prepared.
They were submerged in saltwater (concentration 3.5% to 4.5%) to rapidly accelerate corrosion.

- With Anode, Day 4 (Left) - Without Anode, Day 4 (Right)

- With Anode, Day 7 (Left) - Without Anode, Day 7 (Right)

- With Anode, Day 14 (Left) - Without Anode, Day 14 (Right)
Compared to the frame without an anode applied, the frame with an anode applied showed significantly less corrosion progression.
*Results may vary depending on the body material, plating/anodizing finish specifications, or differences in manufacturing lots.
*The experimental results shown are one example, and do not guarantee the effect on all reels including those made by other manufacturers.
| Application Method
- Before applying, remove any rust or dirt from the application area and degrease to remove any oil.
- Use tweezers to ensure that oil from your fingers does not transfer onto the adhesive surface or the application area.
- Apply while pressing out any air to avoid wrinkles.
- After applying, press firmly with a soft cloth to ensure full adhesion to the target area.
- If the Reel Anode becomes corroded, replace it with a new Reel Anode.
*This product is intended to reduce corrosion, and is not designed to completely prevent corrosion.
*This product does not remove existing corrosion (including rust).
*The intended effect may not be achieved depending on usage conditions.
