BORED METHOD DIVISION has established a new standalone category with the VNL paste.
Utilizing the unique properties of a paste that is neither oil nor grease, this product was independently developed under the BORED METHOD to bridge the gap for core users and compensate for the shortcomings of both oil and grease. It is a multi-purpose paste suitable for use in seawater, combining the “durability” and “lubricity” of an oil film.

The components include a urea-based thickener combined with highly refined HVHI oil and ester synthetic oil, resulting in an ultra-low viscosity semi-synthetic paste. In terms of texture, it resembles THETA grease but with viscosity similar to THICK HEAVY oil. While the presence of a urea-based thickener makes it comparable to grease, its viscosity and high oil content give it oil-like characteristics, forming a smooth, robust oil film with minimal separation.

As a substitute for durability-focused oils such as BSLU Oil, NEMEA Oil, and THICK HEAVY Oil, VNL's grease-like adhesion and anti-scattering properties enhance physical durability and oil film performance beyond those oils. Similarly, it builds upon the lubricity of low-viscosity greases like THETA by incorporating oil-like chemical adhesion and additive effects, making it suitable for a wide range of applications with rust prevention and friction reduction properties.

Without specific recommended applications, users can control the feel by adjusting the amount applied. Despite its refreshingly light viscosity, the paste spreads smoothly, maintains oil film even on vertical surfaces, and surpasses other METHOD oils and greases in shear resistance and oil film retention under high-load continuous sliding.

Like all METHOD products, it is made from the highest quality materials without the use of chlorine compounds, heavy metals, or solid additives such as Teflon or molybdenum, in line with the BORED METHOD DIVISION policy.

* Please read the “Precautions for Use” shown in the image before use.
* Although practical usability is confirmed for intended applications, test beforehand as some rubbers or plastics may be affected depending on material and conditions.
* Not recommended for use on heavily worn or outdated one-way roller clutches.
* Excessive application to one-way roller clutches may cause reverse rotation of the handle; adjust as needed.
* For double-shielded bearings, remove one shield or use the separately sold NEEDLE BOTTLE for injection.
* Unlike fully liquid oils, apply using container pressure rather than natural dripping.
* Temporary emulsification due to moisture is caused by METHOD’s original water-resistant rust-preventing additive and will naturally resolve through evaporation.
* VNL is recommended for use alone or in custom mixes only with DELTA, ALPHA, THETA, UG SIGMA, or UG OMEGA.
* Always degrease and clean before use. Do not mix with oils or greases from other manufacturers.
* Recommended use period is approximately one year after opening, though it may vary depending on storage environment and temperature.
* Slight differences in color intensity may occur between production lots but do not affect performance or components.
