The high-precision idle gear fitted as standard to BC series reels (and compatible models) made in 2021 reduces drive loss, increasing casting distance and giving a smooth casting feel.
The “Double Bearing Idle Gear” takes this idle gear, which already rotates well, machines it further and fits Minebea open-type bearings on both the front and back.

This official ISUZU custom part was made to cast lures in the “ultra-light range” of 2.5g or less farther and more smoothly - a long-awaited part for mountain stream baitcasting anglers.
