| Product Introduction



This is a Microcast Spool for the Old ABU Ambassadeur 5000C.

It is compatible with the ABU Ambassadeur 5000C and 5001C.

Production of the 5000C is believed to have started around 1967.
This spool is compatible with models produced from the earliest versions through approximately 1984, including those reissued by EBISU FISHING.
The 5001C version is compatible with models manufactured from approximately 1972 to 1981.

Later reissue models of both the 5000C and 5001C (manufactured by Mamiya-OP) feature a bulged handle-side side plate and are not compatible.

Although they share the same model name, this spool is not compatible with Palming models or ULTRACAST models. Please ensure you select the correct model.




Compatible reels use the spool shaft shape shown in the photo.

The cog wheel has been removed from the spool on the right. Remove the cog wheel and check the shape of the concealed section before purchasing.


| Features

By reducing both spool weight and line capacity, the total rotating mass is significantly decreased.
This greatly improves the minimum lure weight that can be cast while also increasing casting distance with lures of the same weight.

Remove the Genuine cog wheel from the Genuine spool and transfer it to the Microcast Spool.

Please apply thumb pressure only to the line-wound surface of the spool.
