Equipped with the Thin-Walled Hollow Titanium Knob “Forte air”

The manufacturing method of the titanium part of the knob has been revised, changing from deep drawing of 1.0 mm titanium sheet to spinning (*1) of 0.8 mm titanium sheet.
Together with a heavily lightened aluminum knob collar, this makes the knob 2.6 g lighter than the previous f knob, at 8.7 g.
Its exquisite reverse-taper shape and spiral dimples are distinctive.

*1 Spinning
A 0.8 mm titanium sheet is pressed against a mandrel and rolled little by little with a roller, thinning the titanium wall to 0.4-0.8 mm for a major weight reduction. Although the wall becomes extremely thin, the rolling increases the strength of the material itself, giving almost the same strength as the previous f knob.

A7075 Extra Super Duralumin, 3D Machining

Extra super duralumin is a type of aluminum alloy designated “A7075” under the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). It has excellent stress resistance and is used for thick plates and forged parts.
The plate is 3D-machined with an H-shaped cross section using high-precision machining.
Only machining from solid material makes it possible to remove the maximum amount of material while keeping high rigidity as the top priority.

No-Wobble Handle

The handle adopts a center lock system that eliminates the locking plate and small screws.
The center of the threaded section is precisely machined from round stock on a CNC lathe, and an O-ring keeps the nut centered on the plate.
The custom handle is easy to install, and it gives a wobble-free cranking feel.

Fits a Wide Variety of Reels From Each Manufacturer

By purchasing a center nut separately, the handle can be mounted on SHIMANO, DAIWA, Abu and PFLUEGER reels with the industry’s first Quick Change System.
Simply replace the included hexagonal washer in the main plate to mount the handle on reels from each manufacturer.
