[For SHIMANO] Line Roller 1BB Bearing Upgrade [C-TYPE]

(Required Parts)
- Line Roller BB x1 (SHG-740ZZ or HRCB-740ZHi)
- Roller Bush (for 1BB) x1
- Roller Washer (0.8mm) x2
- Roller Spacer (2.0mm) x1

Smoother line roller rotation makes line twist less likely, keeping the line supple and improving durability and casting distance.




This is the parts diagram.
Replace the parts as shown by the arrows and install them.




As long as each part ends up in the correct position, you do not have to follow this exact order. For clarity, this manual installs the parts in order from the left.

Fit the arm fixing shaft onto the bail assembly.
From here until the last step, holding the arm fixing shaft in place with your finger makes the work easier.




Install the roller spacer (2.0mm).




Install the line roller BB.




Install the roller bush (for 1BB).




Install the arm roller (line roller body).




Stack the two roller washers (0.8mm) and install them.




Install the arm roller spacer.




Install the line roller washer.




Finally, tighten the screw to complete the installation.
Check that the line roller rotates properly.

The roller bush (for 1BB),
arm roller (line roller body)
and arm roller spacer
fit together as shown here.




Pre-assembling these three parts first makes the work easier.
