[For DAIWA] Finesse Spool Drag Bearing Upgrade

(Required Parts)
- Spool built-in BB x1 (1060 size or 1170 size)
*The bearing size used differs depending on the year of the reel.




When you remove the drag washers inside the spool, you will see a collar at the very bottom. Replace this collar with a bearing.
Adding a bearing to this position makes the drag rotate more smoothly and reduces drag sticking, supporting smooth line release during the fight.




Remove the drag ring and drag washers from the spool.
We recommend laying out the removed parts in order, as this makes reassembling them at the end much easier.




After removing the drag washers, you will see a collar secured with a stopper ring at the bottom of the spool.
Remove the stopper ring with a small flat-head screwdriver or a toothpick, and pull out the collar.
*The stopper ring is easy to lose during removal, so please be careful.
*Depending on the year, some models do not have a stopper ring originally.



Replace the collar with the bearing.




Install the bearing into the spool and secure it with the stopper ring.
Reinstall the drag washers in the reverse order of removal, attach the spool to the reel, and check that the spool rotates smoothly and the click sound works properly.
