- Spool Shaft BB x1 (1170 size)
*Depending on the year of the reel, either an open bearing (2.5mm thick) or a shielded bearing (3mm thick) is used.
*For models 6000 and above, the bearing may be 1280 size.






Replacing the white plastic collar on the spool shaft with a bearing improves drag performance.

The white plastic collar is held in place only by a thin hexagonal ring, so it can be removed easily by taking off the ring with a handle knob cap tool or a toothpick.
With this part that supports the spool converted to a bearing, the drag starts more smoothly.






For reels 3500 and above, two 1280 size bearings may be stacked.
